Navratri, a festival that lasts for nine days and nights, is ending today. People are ready to celebrate the last day, called Maha Navami, which is all about honouring Goddess Siddhidatri. On this special day, devotees pray and ask for the blessings of Maa Siddhidatri.
In Hindu scriptures, it is stated that on the ninth day of Navratri, referred to as Maha Navami, Goddess Siddhidatri is said to have appeared. Impressed by the devotions of the deities, she bestowed upon them a boon: whenever they encounter difficulties and call upon her for assistance, Mother Durga will unfailingly come to their aid in their battles against demons.
As explained by Vedic Astrology Teacher & Counsellor, Bani Singh Chadha, Goddess Siddhidatri sits on a louts which represents deliverance. She mentioned that prayers to Maa Siddhidatri help us to achieve difficult things in very easy ways. Devotees can offer her pink colour things as pink is the colour of harmony, love and affection. Devotees can also offer her khoya and butter.
