New Year Eve Plans: 8 in 10 Indians likely to welcome 2023 by staying home, shows survey

After two years of celebrating a lowkey New Year, looks like Indians are still in the mood to do the same. According to the latest survey, 8 in 10 Indians are likely to celebrate the new year with close friends and family at home. 

The survey was conducted by the community social media platform LocalCircle. In the survey, 79% of people said that they are planning to stay at home, 4% said that they are planning to attend a party and 5% said that they will be going to a restaurant with family or friends. 

The survey also showed data that some people are inclined to opt for house parties and 12% are planning to go to a friend's place to celebrate, and the rest 5% are going to avoid socialising because of the increased coronavirus risk.
