The Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding festivities have begun. Guests have started pouring in at the wedding and we are being served with some hot and cool looks. The Ambani family also arrived at the wedding venue. While the Ambanis are wearing some striking attires for the Lagna Vidhi ceremony, what caught everyone's attention was a small diya and Ganesh idol carried by Nita Ambani. She was also spotted at Akash Ambani's wedding with the 'Raman divo', a Gujarati tradition. Let us know more about this tradition.

What is in Nita Ambani and Isha Ambani's hands?

Nita Ambani picked a gorgeous saree, and some diamond jewellery for the Lagna Vidhi ceremony of her youngest son. According to Gujarati traditions, the mother of the groom carries a brass diya and Ganesh idol also known as Raman Divo ahead of the wedding.

Isha Ambani was also seen carrying a 'Lun' bell. She carried a similar one for her brother Akash Ambani's 2019 wedding. A 'lun bell', as per Gujarati tradition is a small kalash covered with cloth.

Lun vessel contains coins or solid salt which would make a sound when shaken. This tradition is from the old days when the groom would be young and the wedding would take place at night. It was always the groom's sister's job to make the sound of Lun close to the groom's ears to keep him awake.

What did Anant wear?

For the ceremony, Anant picked a red and golden sherwani  with intricate golden embroidery. He styled it with white pyjamas, beige sneakers embellished with gold sequins and an elephant gold brooch.
