Long gone are the days when babysitting and cooking at home were the only things grandparents were fond of and Chinese elderlies are proving it well.

Looks like they are just done with babysitting and have upgraded themselves with evolving times. They are well prepared with their digital lessons and are set to go viral on the internet.

In China, there are more than 260 million residents who are older than 60 and currently, China has the fastest-growing population of old people in the world. Amidst this, half of them are online and are making videos on apps like TikTok and Douyin, among others.

Senior citizens of China are all in for the highs and lows of social media and are putting their best foot forward to showcase their talent and pursue their hobbies through it.

Bei Wu, a professor of global health at New York University, said that in the past, the lives of elderlies in China were limited to their family, taking care of the children, cooking and watching TV. However, now with the changing demography, Chinese grandparents have plenty of time to try out something creative on social media.
