Pitru Paksha 2023: Shradh is a Hindu ritual dedicated to honoring and paying homage to deceased ancestors and departed family members. It is a significant part of Hindu tradition and is performed annually during a specific period known as the "Pitru Paksha."
During this time, families offer prayers, perform rituals, and make offerings of food, water, and other items to express their gratitude and seek blessings for the souls of their departed loved ones. It is believed that by performing Shraadh, one can help the departed souls attain peace and liberation.
The dates for Pitru Paksha and Shraadh may vary each year according to the Hindu lunar calendar. According to Drik Panchang, this year, Pitru paksha will be observed from September 29 to October 14.
