Whether it’s ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson, ‘We will rock you’ by Queen or any songs of Lady Gaga; we can’t stop ourselves from tapping our feet. Looks like it’s not only us but even rats are huge fans of these songs and can’t stop shaking a leg.

Research by scientists at University of Tokyo have recently found out that rats do respond to rhythm and dance with joy just like humans. The team connected miniature wireless accelerometers to 10 rats and played music by various artists including Lady Gaga and Maroon 5.

The rats showed head movements according to the speed of the songs and managed to sync with the duration of the songs that were played at 132 beats per minute.
