Sleep divorce, in which the couple sleeps in two different beds and different rooms, was in the news lately and now the Scandinavian sleep method is hitting the headlines. This method of sleeping is garnering popularity among couples and they are trying this out to fix their sleeping schedule and relationship.
This practice is popular in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and in this, the couple who lives together and sleeps on the same bed uses two separate blankets or duvets as opposed to one big duvet.
Erica Stolman Dowdy, a popular Instagram influencer claimed that the Scandinavian sleep method can help improve relationships.
In a video, Erica said that she uses two separate smaller blankets to cover each side of the bed, one for each person. This, she believes, can make sleeping together in a bed more comfortable and save marriages by preventing arguments over blankets.
According to the research by Sleep Foundation, sharing a blanket could lead to more sleep disturbances and the inconvenience of one partner taking all the blankets to themself. So, if you are not in for sleep divorce then the Scandinavian sleep method might help you out.
