A survey conducted by OnePoll reveals that social media is no longer just for young individuals; in fact, an average American aged 65 and above spends 300 hours annually engaging with social media platforms.
The survey was conducted on 2,000 seniors who use social media and it noticed their usage and habits found that they spend an average of 47 minutes a day on these platforms.
It was noted that seniors spend the most time on Facebook i.e. 75 per cent, 28 per cent spend time on on YouTube and 10 per cent on Instagram.
It also proved useful in other ways, with the majority saying they have learned something useful from social media in their lives.
