Survey reveals that only 2% Indians sleep for 8-10 hours every night

According to a new survey conducted by the community-based social media platform LocalCircles, around 55 per cent of Indians get less than six hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. 

The survey was conducted over 12 months on 13,438 people, and it was found that 43% indicated six to eight hours of sleep, 34% said it was four to six hours, 21% got four hours and 2% said that they were getting 10 hours of sleep.

As compared to the 2022 survey, the percentage of citizens who were getting less than 6 hours of sleep has risen in 12 months from 50% in 2022 to 55% in 2023.
