The rising temperature day by day is becoming out of control and like us humans even animals need special care during the summers. Here are some tips you can follow to protect your pets during summer.
- Feed them with food items which contain fatty acids. Fish contains omega 3 fatty acids. They can also be fed antioxidant-rich vegetables and collagen-rich proteins which will protect their skin.
- Watermelon and curd can be fed to pets in summer. Also, instead of red meat, you can feed them white meat like chicken.
- Doctors recommend keeping pets in a cool room or an air-conditioned room. But do not forget to manage the temperature according to their needs.
- Get your pet's haircut done but do not shave them completely. With little hair on the body, they will be prevented from being overheated or sunburned.
- Choose the coolest time of the day for their walks. Even evenings can be hot at times resulting in burning their paws.
