Summer is the time to plan a vacation with friends and family. And while you stay in a hotel it's important to check for bed bugs in your rooms, so that you don't take them back home.
Tips to inspect your room
- When you enter a hotel room, keep your luggage at a clean space
- Pull back the bed sheets to check the mattress and pay special attention to the head of the bed.
- Lift the mattress and check underneath with the help of a flashlight.
- Remember to closely examine the folds and the seams in the corner of the mattress for any signs of bed bugs.
- If you see any brown spots, dried blood or bugs, vacate the room immediately and complain to the hotel manager.
