Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a momentous ceremony, has officially launched Rajasthan's first-ever heritage train, known as the Valley Queen Heritage Train, departing from the vibrant city of Jodhpur.
This splendid train service is set to charm passengers with its nostalgic appeal and picturesque route, connecting the historic Marwar Junction to the scenic Khamlighat in Rajasthan's Pali district.
Travel enthusiasts and history aficionados can now embark on this remarkable journey four days a week, immersing themselves in the rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes of Rajasthan.
The tickets for this unforgettable experience are priced at an affordable 2000 ₹ per person, ensuring accessibility for all who wish to partake in this cultural and scenic expedition.
The train's schedule involves a departure from Marwar Junction at 8:30 am, with its destination being Kamlighat, scheduled to arrive at 11:00 am. During its journey from Marwar, there will be a brief 25-minute stop at Phulad.
The return leg of the journey will commence at approximately 3 pm from Kamlighat, with the train arriving back at Marwar Junction at around 5:30 pm, allowing passengers to enjoy a full day's excursion while reveling in the heritage and landscapes of the region.
