$100,000 a day = Rs 75,00,000 in a single day that's what social media influencer Kat Norton cashes in from just teaching Excel online
Also nicknamed 'Miss Excel' Norton started this 'business' in June 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. She was able to scaled it within six months to six figures. She has a different approach to the tutorials where she tries to make it as dynamic as possible, she even acts and portrays real situations that happen inside the office. Miss Excel already has a little over 660,000 followers on TikTok and half a million on Instagram.
Norton started with the usual popular dance videos but the first hit tutorial in the excel came fourth in the playlist as she uploaded a how to video on Excel’s XLOOKUP feature and set to DMX’s “X Gon’ Give It To Ya”—which quickly accumulated 100,000 views.
Kat gave up her day job as she got offers to create instructional videos. She was also honored by Microsoft as a Most Valuable Professional. But Miss Excel has a word of advise for those jumping on the 'influencer bandwagon' - the revenue share from the social platform is paltry. The main aim is to build a brand and follow through with a business, Norton's 90% income comes from course sales. Her “Excelerator” course—which comprises more than 100 videos—costs about $300 for a user.
