Music director Vanraj Bhatia dies at 93 from age-related ailments

Legendary music composer and National Award winner Vanraj Bhatia passed away on Friday at his residence in South Mumbai.

The Padma Shree awardee was facing old age issues and was mostly bedridden.

The 93-year-old veteran was best known for composing music for films such as 'Ankur', '36 Chowringhee Lane' and TV show 'Tamas'.

Earlier, Bhatia was said to be having trouble walking properly and was unable to get treatment due to lack of funds.
