Petrol prices were revised upward for the second time in July with Delhi now paying close to ₹100 per litre. With the 29 paise hike on Sunday it marks the 38th hike in petrol prices since May 3.
Petrol now costs over ₹100 in 14 states and UTs. Petrol prices have breached the ₹100-mark in states such as MP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu.
In Delhi, petrol hit an all-time high of ₹99.51 a litre, while diesel is now priced at ₹89.36 per litre.
