Poonch anti-terror operation in 5th day now; 2 officers & 5 soldiers dead

A Junior Commissioned Officer and and a solider of the army lost his life while fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, where an anti-terror op started three days ago.

Officials said that a military operation launched by armed forces against terrorists in Bhata Dhurian village near Bhimber Gali area of Poonch led to the casualties.

The military operation was launched in a part of a forest pocket that runs through Dehra Ki Gali where a military operation started on Monday morning in which five army personnel were killed.

Jammu and Kashmir Police had said on Tuesday that terrorists involved in the attack on security forces in Poonch district were in the area for two to three months.
