Tamil actor Vivek passed away in a Chennai hospital on Saturday following a cardiac arrest. The 59-year-old actor who was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital reportedly died due to 100% blockage in an artery vessel.
On Friday, Tamil Nadu Health Department also called a press meet to dispel the rumors that Vivek's illness was linked to him receiving the Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday.
Vivek who starred in over 220 films in his career, was introduced to cinema by veteran director K Balachander. He was best known for his comedy in films like Kushi, Minnale, Alaipayuthey, Mugavaree, Dum Dum Dum, Sivaji among many other.
