As the BJP prepares for the big battle in Uttar Pradesh in 2022, the party has put its top leaders incharge of booth level coordination.

Home Minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president JP Nadda will be guiding BJP troops at the booth level in six key regions in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections.

Reports said that While Shah will be looking after western UP and Brij, Rajnath Singh has been given the responsibility of eastern Uttar Pradesh. JP Nadda will direct BJP booth workers in Kanpur and CM Yogi Adityanath's backyard Gorakhpur.

The high-powered trio will also be holding organisational meetings with booth presidents of different regions.

Party's UP campaign strategy was discussed at a high level meeting chaired by Nadda on Thursday. Poll programmes of top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were also discussed, reports said.

The BJP is likely to launch 'vijay sankalp rath yatras' in the state which will touch every assembly constituency, PTI reported quoting sources.

Such yatras have been a customary part of the party's campaign in assembly polls.
