PM Modi In Prayagraj: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is headed to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh to give fillip to BJP's campaign for UP Assembly elections next year.

The Prime Minister, who is spearheading the party's campaign with major launches and inaugurations, will transfer around ₹ 1,000 crores in the bank account of Self Help Groups, benefiting around 16 lakh women members.

The government has said that the event will be a "one of its kind programme" that will be attended by over two lakh women.

During the programme, the Prime Minister will also transfer stipends in the account of women engaged in doorstep financial services at the grassroot level.
