The BJP is in Uttar Pradesh election mode full throttle. After a spate of big-ticket inaugurations in the past week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief JP Nadda met MPs from UP and Uttarakhand over breakfast to discuss poll strategy.

The meeting comes days after the Prime Minister inaugurated the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.

The BJP has also planned a series of yatras in Uttar Pradesh before the end of December. The six planned yatras will cover each of the 403 assembly seats in the state.

Home minister Amit Shah will also hold a rally in Lucknow with ally the Nishad Party later today.

The BJP-led government has been going all guns blazing in UP, which is due to go to the polls early next year.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a number of rallies in the coming days apart from launching more big bang development projects.

Elections to UP Assembly will take place early next year along with Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.
