Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday heaped praises on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath for taking up developmental work and cracking down on illegal construction and mafia.

He said poor law and order triggered exodus of people from Uttar Pradesh earlier, but during the past 4.5 years bulldozers have razed unauthorised properties of mafias, causing pain to those patronising them.

The PM, who is known using acronyms and phrases in his speeches, praised Yogi Adityanath in a unique mathematical way. He said 'UP plus Yogi bahut hai upyogi'

The prime minister was addressing a rally after laying the foundation stone of 594-km-long Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district.
