After dropping several hints about his political departure, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday told reporters that he will receive the word from BJP leadership about his fate soon.
“There is an event on July 26 on completion of two years of our government. After this, I will follow whatever JP Nadda will decide”, the 78-year-old BJP leader said. He added that he is anticipating a ‘message’ from the Delhi high command by Sunday evening.
According to a report by India Today, Yediyurppa has suggested that a non-Lingayat person may take the baton next. However, the RSS is believed to have demanded a Lingayat to be appointed as the next Chief Minister to ensure BJP's vote bank in the state remains intact.
