World Kindness Day 2021: From donating plasma to offering food to the needy, kindness and help came in various forms during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many instances were reported in the media, giving us hope that humanity and generosity are still alive and thriving!
Observed on the 13th of November every year, World Kindness Day was first commemorated in 1998. The day aims to promote the importance of being kind to each other and even to yourself.
The day also serves as an inspiration for people to work towards making everyone realise that compassion for others is what unites us all. It reminds us that kindness has the potential to reconcile gaps between countries.
To mark the day, people around the world must pledge to do at least one purposeful act of kindness for someone else to commemorate the occasion.
