The much awaited cabinet expansion by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was finally announced. While the Big 4, Home, Defence, Finance, External Affairs stay the same a lot of new faces and posts were announced.
Home Minister Amit Shah will be the first ever Minister of Cooperation. The govt announced the formation of the ministry on Tuesday to boost the cooperative movement.
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will now be helmed by Hardeep Singh Puri who has been elevated to Cabinet rank, Puri's Civil Aviation Ministry now goes to Jyotiraditya Scinda, the new inductee in Modi-led BJP govt's cabinet.

Mansukh Mandviya who was handling the shipping ministry as minister of state till now has been given the all important task of overseeing country's Covid-19 management as the new Health Minister.
Kiren Rijiju has been given the Law and Justice portfolio that was previously held by Ravi Shankar Prasad. Anurag Thakur who was made a Cabinet minister at the ceremony has been given charge of the Sports ministry and I&B. He was a MoS at the Finance Ministry till now.
While Piyush Goyal keeps Commerce Ministry and has been given additional charge of Textiles, the important Railways portfolio has been given to new inductee Ashwini Vaishnaw. Vaishnaw will also be in charge of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Dharmendra Pradhan will now head Ministry of Education after Ramesh Pokhriyal was dropped earlier in the day.
