As Karnataka battles Covid-19 surge, hundreds took out a funeral procession of a horse in Mastmaradi village in the southern state.

The horse, belonged to a religious organisation, died on Sunday morning following which the villagers took out a procession to cremate the animal.

Most people were seen in face-coverings or masks which didn't cover their noses with no regard for social distancing.

The police has registered an FIR and the entire village has been sealed for 14 days with RTPCR tests being conducted.

Karnataka, which has been badly affected by the second Covid wave, is under strict lockdown where movement is restricted and is allowed only in emergencies.
