A 47-year-old man died of shock in Chennai hours after his 20-year-old daughter died after she was allegedly pushed in front of a moving train in Tamil Nadu capital.
Police said the father identified as Manickam
developed chest pain, and was admitted to a hospital in Saidapet but failed to respond to the treatment and passed away.
Police said Manickam's daughter identified as Sathya, died after she was allegedly pushed in front of a moving train at St Thomas Mount railway station.
The accused, identified as Satheesh had gotten into an argument with the girl, while they were standing on the railway platform.
During the argument, Satheesh pushed her onto the track as the suburban train from Tambaram approached, and fled from the spot. Sathya was on her way to college with her friends.
