Actor Anushka Sharma on Monday strongly reacted to sportswear brand PUMA India using her images without consent to promote its sale. She asked the brand to take down an Instagram post, saying she is not their brand ambassador.
PUMA on Friday posted multiple images of Anushka dressed in their clothing as part of its ongoing End of Season Sale publicity.
However, the actor has asked the brand to take down their post as they had not taken her permission to use her photographs before sharing it on their page.
‘Hey Puma India, I am sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I am not your brand ambassador. Please take it down,’ Anushka wrote on her Instagram story with two angry emojis.
Anushka’s husband and cricketer Virat Kohli who is PUMA’s brand ambassador, had liked the brand’s post with Anushka’s pictures on Monday.
Netizens have showed support for Anushka and asked PUMA to take down the post. The brand has not responded yet.
