In the realm of 80s and 90s Bollywood, Govinda and filmmaker David Dhawan formed an iconic duo, collaborating on 17 successful films.

Their partnership birthed numerous superhits until a rift emerged after their 2007 film 'Partner.'

Recently, the duo mended fences and reconciled their relationship, burying the past misunderstandings.

Their reunion took center stage at Ramesh Taurani's Diwali celebration, marking the resumption of their camaraderie. Govinda playfully acknowledged their bond by humorously stating, "In the '80s and '90s, I had two wives, Sunita and David!"

In an interview with Bombay Times, Govinda confirmed their patch-up, emphasizing the significance of moving past grievances.

He highlighted their recent meeting at the Diwali bash, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and shared fond reminiscences.

The actor emphasized their decision to leave behind any past disputes, focusing instead on relishing the cherished memories they had created.

Govinda also addressed his prolonged absence from Bollywood gatherings, attributing it to the evolving dynamics of industry parties that favor certain groups or cliques.

He debunked the notion of belonging to any exclusive circle, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive approach towards industry gatherings.

Delving into their fallout, Govinda disclosed a pivotal moment that sparked their estrangement.

A phone conversation inadvertently heard by Govinda revealed David expressing reluctance to work with him, citing concerns about Govinda's inquisitiveness.

This revelation left Govinda disheartened and led to a mutual distancing between the two.

Despite an attempt to reconnect, their professional rapport never fully recovered, leading to Govinda's public disclosure of the incident.

Govinda's absence from the cinematic spotlight, marked by his last appearance in 'Rangeela Raja' (2019), contrasted sharply with his influential past in Bollywood.

His and David Dhawan's recent reconciliation brought hope for fans longing to witness their magical collaborations once more.
