Ace fashion designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla hosted a special event in Mumbai on March 2 as they launched their latest collection 'Mera Noor Hai Mashoor'. The lavish launch event was attended by several Bollywood celebrities including Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Neetu Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Babil Khan, Huma Qureshi, Sussane Khan, and many others.

Jaya, who has often been at loggerheads with the paparazzi for months while being clicked, was a total contrast as she attended the event. She not just posed for the cameras, but also had a small interaction with the cameramen, trying to recognise each one of them by face. She also posed with one of the photographers and told him that she has known him since he was a kid.

Last year, Jaya Bachchan appeared on granddaughter Navya Naveli’s podcast ‘What The Hell Navya?’, and said she ‘hated’ that the paparazzi interfered in her personal space.

‘I despise the people who interfere in your personal life and fill their stomachs by selling those products. I hate it, I’m disgusted with such people. I always tell them, I say, ‘Aapko sharam nahi aati hai (Don’t you feel ashamed?)’ she said. Jaya added that she has had an issue with the paparazzi culture for years now.

Jaya Bachchan will make a silver screen comeback with Karan Johar's ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The film, which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, is scheduled to release on July 28.
