Kriti Sanon poses with parents after National Film Awards ceremony: 'one of the most memorable days'

Actor Kriti Sanon was honoured with the Best Actress Award for her performance in ‘Mimi’ at the 69th National Film Awards on October 17. President Murmu presented her with the award during the ceremony.

Following the event, Kriti Sanon took to social media and shared a series of pictures in which she is seen proudly posing with her parents.

She sat on their laps, showing off the medal and certificate.

In another photo, her father lovingly kissed her cheeks, and they smiled for the cameras.

Sharing the photos, Kriti wrote, one of the most memorable days of my life! Missed you @nupursanon”

For the occasion, Kriti was dressed in a pastel saree that beautifully reflected Indian culture. She shared the Best Actress accolade with Alia Bhatt, who was recognised for her outstanding performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Kriti also shared a photo and video of her felicitation and wrote, ‘The BIG Moment!!’

In the photo, she can be seen receiving the award from the Honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

Speaking to the media on the red carpet, Kriti said, ‘The journey has taken me about I think 9 years today to be getting this prestigious award but of course, to win a national award within a decade, is, I understand, a very big thing. I am very blessed and fortunate that I got an opportunity like Mimi. Kabhi kabhi itni intensity wali filmein, itna layered character milta nahin hai itna easily and I am really blessed and fortunate that my producer and my director felt I could do it. I am just feeling very elated today. I knew that it is going to be a special film because just the story you know everything about it I was very passionate about it about this one.’

Kriti’s work front

Kriti Sanon will soon be seen in ‘Ganapath’ alongside Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan. She also has ‘The Crew’ and ‘Do Patti’ in the pipeline.
