Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal for new film, titled 'Love and War'.

The film reunites Bhansali and Kapoor after 17 years and marks the filmmaker’s first film with Kaushal. Bhansali reunites with Bhatt after the success of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi.' The new film was announced on Wednesday, January 24. The film is slated to release on Christmas 2025.

The news of the film was shared by Kaushal on Instagram. The post featured the announcement along with Kaushal, Bhatt, and Kapoor’s signatures. Sharing the post, Vicky wrote, “An eternal cinema dream has come true. ❤️✨ #SanjayLeelaBhansali #RanbirKapoor @aliaabhatt @prerna_singh6 @bhansaliproductions #LOVEandWAR.”

Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor couldn’t contain her excitement as the announcement was made. Taking to Instagram, she reshared the announcement and wrote, “LOVE & WAR! Raha’s parents ❤️❤️ you both make me so proud with my all time favourite film maker #SANJAYLEELABHANSALI. Can’t wait to see your magic #VickyKaushal.”

The news about the film comes a day after Pinkvilla reported that Kapoor and Bhansali were in talks for a project. “To set things straight, it’s an original love story and not, inshallah. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been very keen to take a step back from the period drama’s intense tone. He has been looking to make a love story, and this subject has been at the back of his mind for a while now. Bhansali feels this is the best time to make a love story and is very excited to tap this genre,” the source shared.

With Love and War, Ranbir and Vicky reunite on the big screen after 'Sanju' and Ranbir and Alia are paired together after 'Brahmastra.' Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor also starred in an advertisement with son Ranbir Kapoor recently.
