The much-anticipated film of Katrina Kaif, 'Phone Bhoot,' co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi is finally in theatres. Horror comedy has opened to mixed responses from both the audience as well as the critics. This Gurmmeet Singh's directorial is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's banner Excel Entertainment. Katrina Kaif's performance as a ghost and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan as ghost hunters have impressed the audience.
While a few netizens are enjoying the film and calling it 'fun', there are some who have said that the film is ‘average’.

Appreciating the storyline one Twitterati wrote, 'Thoroughly enjoyed #PhoneBhoot it has great jokes and punches , the references were so spot on.. the second half started with a bang with the #K3G reference and the comic timing between the trio..and it has a very meaningful storyline.'
Few netizens are not happy with the film too. One user wrote, '40 minutes bhi jheli nahi jaa rahi logo se. Empty cinema halls Plastictina kaif mass #PhoneBhoot.'
Calling it an average affair one user tweeted, '#PhoneBhoot has an entertaining first half while underwhelming 2nd half with a weak climax. Film works in parts due to humorous dialogues, good performances and several pop culture references (+ memes). An average affair. Not a horror-comedy. Just a comedy.'
