Hours after many news portals reported that Mahira Khan is expecting a child with husband Salim Karim, the actor issued a clarification. During a conversation with The Express Tribune, Mahira dismissed the rumours of her pregnancy.
‘It’s not true that I’m pregnant. And I haven’t left the Netflix series,’ she said.
Earlier, a viral social media post claimed that Mahira opted out of a Netflix project and a big film as she is expecting her second child in August and September.
According to News18, a post surfaced on the social media platform, Reddit, which claimed that Mahira Khan might be pregnant with her second child. It further added that the actor has taken a step back from her esteemed projects, Netflix’s ‘Jo Bachey Sang Samait Lo’ and another yet-to-be-titled film.
The post read, 'So, I got this news from a close source that she opted out of the esteemed Netflix project alongside a big film as she’s expecting her second child somewhere in August or September. An announcement could be made soon or not if she chooses to announce it after birth but as she’s a big celeb and can’t keep it lowkey for long, I personally feel that she will announce.'

Mahira Khan tied the knot for the second time with businessman Salim Karim. The ceremony took place on October 1, 2023, at Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
Mahira, who is best known for her roles in 'Raees' and 'Humsafar', took to social media to share a beautiful wedding video. Alongside the clip, she wrote, ‘My Shehzada, Salim (sic).’

Earlier, Mahira Khan married Ali Askari in 2007. They also share a 13-year-old son, Azlan. The couple parted ways in 2015.
