Following major chaos at the MCD civic centre ahead of Delhi's Mayoral election, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi criticised the Aam Aadmi Party which is facing off against BJP in the contest.
Lekhi blamed AAP for starting the disruption, and said the party's leaders were unaware of rules.
She added, "These people (AAP councillors) are anarchists, and spreading anarchy is their job. When they are in majority, why are they afraid?"
"They have a 'my way or 'high way' attitude and the same was on display today at the civic centre," the BJP leader said.
The disruption reportedly began as Satya Sharma, the interim presiding officer appointed by Delhi Lieutenant Governor, began the oath-taking ceremony of 10 aldermen, also nominated by the LG.

Slogans were raised by councillors of both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. AAP members reportedly demanded that oath-taking of elected councillors be held first.
