Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had blamed the RJD's dynastic politics for Bihar's downfall in key social and economic metrics. Addressing the 'Vishwas Maha Rally' in Patna's Gandhi maidan, which saw attendance of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Lalu took aim at Modi's personal life saying that he has problems with family joining politics as he doesn't have one. He also said that Modi is not a Hindu.

"Narendra Modi is nowadays attacking dynastic politics. I want to ask, why doesn't he has any children. You don't have family. And you (Modi) are not Hindu also. Every Hindu shaves his head after the death of his mother but Modi did not. Why didn't he shave? Tell me!"
