Several politicians have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus as India battles a dangerous fresh wave of Covid-19. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
He requested all those who have come in contact with him in the last two to three days to get themselves tested.
Earlier on Friday, the Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala said he has tested positive. Former Madhya Pradesh CM , Digvijaya Singh, who is currently at his Delhi residence tweeted that he has isolated himself as a precautionary measure after he tested positive for Covid. The Rajya Sabha MP urged all those who came into his contact to take precautionary measures.
Bathinda MP and ex-Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal also tested COVID-19 positive on Friday. She held a few meetings with SAD workers in Bathinda on Thursday. In her tweetshe mentioned she has mild symptoms and has isolated herself at home.
