As voting for the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections ended, all eyes are now on the exit polls. The contest is primarily between the NDA and INDIA bloc, with both claiming to have won the people's hearts.
The Congress party earlier chose to skip polls, saying it would not indulge in speculations and "slugfest for TRP". However, it went back on its decision after the INDIA bloc meeting on June 1 and announced that it will participate in the debates organised by media houses.
The exit poll data for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 by various media houses and pollsters has started coming in from 6:30 pm.
In Tamil Nadu, Congress-DMK alliance appears to be headed to a landslide win.
Most pollsters showed a massive win for BJP in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Delhi.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP bagged a landslide victory, winning 303 seats. Congress emerged as the runner-up, winning just 52 seats. While DMK and YSRCP won 23 seats each, the TMC secured 22 seats. Bahujan Samaj Party won 10 seats and its then alliance partner Samajwadi Party got five seats.
The exit polls will predict the number of seats and vote share of various parties. The primary contest is between BJP-led NDA and the INDIA bloc which consists of various opposition parties, including Congress, Samajwadi Party, RJD, DMK, AAP etc.
