Navy Day 2020: Salute India's sea warriors

President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defence minister Rajnath Singh greeted the country's naval force on the occasion of the Navy Day on Friday.

Navy Day recognises the valour, achievement, and role of India's naval force. The day commemorates Operation Trident, the Navy's attack on Karachi Harbour during the 1971 war.

This year, Navy is commemorating 50th anniversary of the 1971 war against Pakistan
