Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar responded to BJP’s allegations of under-reporting Covid deaths. She took a swipe at UP and Bihar where under-reporting of cases have been a huge issue and said there are no rivers in the city where Covid bodies can be dumped.

In some of the states, especially in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh and Bihar bodies were found buried in the sandbanks of Ganga and floating down the river, causing massive shock and outrage.

Pednekar further said that ‘all Covid deaths in Mumbai are recorded at three places and so the data can't be hidden’.
