Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a high-level meeting on Saturday to review India's coronavirus situation and the vaccination drive in the country. Amid criticism over handling of the pandemic, the Prime Minister on Friday said he shares the sentiment and the pain of those affected by Covid-19.

India has been logging over 3 lakh Covid cases everyday for nearly three weeks, which has raised global concerns.

Shortage of medical oxygen, anti-viral drugs led to deaths of Covid patients in several parts of the country.

On the other hand, acute shortage of vaccines has posed a serious challenge, leading many states to cancel the third vaccination drive for people in the 18-44 age bracket.
