Zomato raises $250 million, valuation soars to $5.4 billion

Food Tech pioneer Zomato raised $250 million from five investors raising its value to $5.4 billion. This marks a steep rise for the online food delivery platform that was valued at $4 billion post fund raising in December. 

The news was filed to exchanges by Info Edge who owns 18.4% in the unicorn. Existing investors Kora Management has led the round with $115 million in capital. This round also saw the entry of Dragoneer Investment Group which has also recently invested in edtech start up Unacademy.
