An 11-year-old boy caused a flutter after he appeared in the Supreme Court for his own murder hearing. The boy from Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit told the Supreme Court that his father had falsely accused his maternal grandfather and uncles of his murder.

A Times of India report stated that the boy had been living with his maternal grandfather since 2013 after his father allegedly hit his mother for dowry. She later died.

The report added the two sides have been filing cases against each other since. The boy's father earlier in 2023 filed a complaint against his grandfather and uncles accusing them of killing him.

The boy then appeared before the Supreme Court and accused the father of making false charges. The SC admitted his petition and barred any coercive action against the petitioners.
