Delhi businessman kidnapped for not repaying loan; 2 men arrested: police

A businessman in Delhi claimed that he was abducted and manhandled for failing to repay a loan.

The incident reportedly occurred on 6 August, when complainant Shobhit Agarwal was assaulted at his office at KG Marg. Some men allegedly barged into his office, threatened and assaulted him. He was also kidnapped before being dropped outside his office.

Agarwal had reportedly taken a loan of ₹20 lakh from a money lending firm. He claimed he repaid the amount on the day of the alleged assault.

Two men identified as Rohit and Mohit Ahlawat were arrested with further probe underway by Delhi police.
