An Instagram influencer was arrested from Ludhiana on April 4 for allegedly blackmailing and extorting money from her social media followers by sending them her nude photos, according to the police.

Jasneet Kaur alias Rajbir Kaur was taken into custody after a complaint by a businessman who alleged that she was blackmailing him. A case was filed against Jasneet Kaur in Ludhiana on April 1.

A BMW car and mobile phone have been seized from her by the Ludhiana Police.

According to the police, Jasneet Kaur, who currently has over 2 lakh followers on Instagram, would first become friendly with male targets on social media and then record their chats. She would then ask them to giver her money and if they refused, she would threaten them with the help of gangsters.

She has multiple Instagram accounts.

The investigation has also revealed that Jasneet Kaur was arrested in a similar case in 2018 in Mohali.

Ludhiana Police has also booked her aide, Lucky Sandhu, a youth Congress leader. Police said that Sandhu used to make threat calls to the targets
