India is celebrating 'RRR's win at the Golden Globes. While congratulatory messages are pouring in for the team on social media, there are a few who are trolling lead star Jr NTR's accent on the red carpet.
In the video that is now being widely shared, Jr NTR tells the reporter, 'It can't get better than this. The West accepting us? America, the Mecca of filmmaking. Here we are at the Globes, what else can we ask for, truly honoured'.
Actor Gulshan Devaiah has come out in support of Jr NTR and said that his accent wasn't as bad as people were making it out to be.
'Secondly it's a calculated PR strategy. Take it easy...let him try to spread his wings and fly. It's good for Indian cinema if he breaks through the Hollywood global market. We all stand to gain from it.'
The film bagged the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for its song Nattu Nattu'
