‘Business Proposal’ star Ahn Hyo-seop and internet personality Han Seo-hee made headlines after their private Kakaotalk chat went viral online. The leaked exchange implies Han Seo-hee invited Ahn Hyo-seop to a luxury hotel in Gangnam, South Korea, for a night together. Though there's speculation about Han Seo-hee's involvement in the leak, she denied it, stating the conversation was 'fabricated.'
The conversation reads:
“Ahn Hyo Seop: To do what?
Han Seo Hee: Let’s order a sh*t ton of room service and have dinner there.
It’s not like I’m paying for any of it.
Or we could have sex.
Ah, reply quickly.
Are you ignoring me?
Do you want to die?
Ahn Hyo Seop: You..
Why are you
Talking so scary?”
According to Money Today, legal action has been taken against Han, involving allegations of defamation and slander against Ahn Hyo Seop, among other charges. Despite Han's claim of fabricated messages, she shared a picture of her hotel stay on the same day, sparking speculation among fans. This isn't the first instance of Han involving other celebrities in controversy, as her history reveals a pattern of leveraging her connections to embroil others in contentious matters within the industry.
In the lawsuit filed by lawyer Kim So Yeon, the plaintiff raised concerns about KakaoTalk messages highlighted in the media. Quoting from Money Control, an excerpt from the lawsuit states, ‘The conversation between the defendant (Han Seo Hee) and 'A' implies solicitation for sexual intercourse. When there was a delayed response, she threatened, 'Do you want to die?' 'A' responded with 'Why are you talking so scary?' and then blocked her." Additionally, it was mentioned, "She messaged 'A' saying 'do ***' to induce sexual shame or disgust, causing fear due to the delayed response, and threatened him." Critically, "She shared this conversation in an open chatroom, implying a sexual relationship between 'A' and the defendant, thereby tarnishing 'A's reputation."
For those unfamiliar, Han Seo-hee has a tumultuous past. In 2016, she faced legal repercussions, receiving a 3-year prison term with an additional four years on probation for drug-related offenses. Her troubles deepened during trial, resulting in an extra 1-year and six-month sentence for using Philopon, or the 'love of work' drug. Despite her appeal to the Supreme Court, it was denied. In 2020, she faced another six months of imprisonment. Following her release in November, K-pop fans, disturbed by her troubled history, expressed concerns and urged her to maintain her distance from Ahn Hyo-seop.
