Chandigarh University video leak claim: man held in Himachal's Shimla; students protest for 'justice'

Chandigarh University video leak claim :- Another person was detained on 18 September 2022 in the case of alleged MMS leaks at Chandigarh University.

A 23-year-old man was reportedly detained in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, before arrest by Punjab police. Earlier, a 22-year-old woman student of Chandigarh University was arrested by police.

Massive protests have gripped the private institute in Mohali after rumours and allegations that objectionable videos of around 60 students were leaked.

However, police later claimed that preliminary investigation suggested that the arrested woman had shared her own video with a man, and MMS Videos of other students had not been found.

However, protests continued on 18 September with some students alleging a cover-up in the case.
