      Music maestro AR Rahman, who was launched by filmmaker Mani Ratnam in 1992 with the film ‘Roja’, has been a part of the entertainment industry for 30 years. The legend, also known as 'Mozart of Madra', has been a fan favourite for decades and to celebrate this milestone, ARR Film Festival will be held by PVR Cinemas.

      The festival is being held in Chennai and Coimbatore from August 4 to August 9.

      AR Rahman shared the details of the ARR Film Festival on Twitter. He wrote, ‘Celebrating 30 years of love! Grateful for the incredible love and support I've received from all of you, near and far. Your kindness and warmth have touched my heart throughout this journey. Here's to many more years of cherished memories together (sic)!’

      In the poster shared by Rahman, it was mentioned, 'AR Rahman Film Festival 4th-9th August. Celebrating 30 years of India's music legend with handpicked collection of over 15 movies'.

      Over 15 films featuring Rahman's music will be screened at the festival. The list includes 'Raavaanan', 'OK Kanmani', 'Bigil', 'PS 1', 'Maryan', 'One Heart', '24', 'Sivaji', 'VTV', 'Mersal', 'Pathu Thala', 'I', 'Vendhu Thanindhatu Kaadu', 'Jodha Akbar', 'Rockstar', 'Raanjhana', 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and 'Sarvam Thaala Mayam'.
