Marvel fans assemble! New ‘Vision’ series set to release in 2026, here is what we know

Marvel fans have a big reason to rejoice. Marvel Studios is developing a new series around the superhero character Vision. The untitled Disney+ series will see Paul Bettany reprise his role as Vision. Here are all the details about the upcoming project.

Marvel’s ‘Vision’ary team

The international studio which has given films like ‘Avengers’ and shows like ‘Loki’, has hired ‘Star Trek: Picard’ fame Terry Matalas as the showrunner. Actor Paul Bettany will return to the role of the titular character.

About ‘Vision’

Vision, a synthezoid, was first introduced in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. The beloved character then appeared in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and was last seen in Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’.

About the plot

The show will be set after the events of ‘WandaVision’, where we saw Wanda Maximoff creating a false reality and resurrecting Vision. His character was killed by supervillain Thanos in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ for the mind stone that was synonymous to Vision’s existence.

Towards the end of ‘WandaVision’, Vision (created by Wanda), had a fight with the White Vision, created from the dead body of the original Vision. The White Vision unlocks his memories after the encounter and leaves to find to explore his existence.

The new series will most likely explore New Vision’s journey. The show will premiere in 2026.

Marvel’s new-age content

This will be the first new live-action series picked up by the Marvel Studios in almost two years. The company is also rebranding its live-action TV output to Marvel Television and reducing the number of shows from four to two per year, as per Variety.
