40,000 fans witnessed an unforgettable moment when pop-star Shakira surprised them with a free pop-up concert. And that’s not all, the concert was also live streamed for the fans who were not present at Times Square. Here’s what unfolded at Times Square on Tuesday night.

Shakira's surprise of a lifetime

The pop singer dropped her first studio work in seven years and to celebrate her latest album, Shakira treated her fans to a free concert. The surprise pop-up concert opened with her superhit track ‘Hips Don’t Lie’. A crowd of 40,000 sang along and grooved to one of the biggest hits of all times.

Shakira took over the Times Square in New York as she brought in her unmatched energy and powerful beats. She also performed some of the tracks from her latest album. The singer then closed the show with a remix of BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53.

Shakira had informed the fans about her ‘surprise’ treat in an Instagram video. She captioned, “So excited to announce a SURPRISE performance tonight in Times Square LIVE on the @tsxentertainment stage thanks to @vinfastus! Join the Wolfpack at 7:15 pm ET! #LMYNL #VinFast #ShakiraTSX.”

About Shakira’s latest album

‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ is Shakira’s 12th studio album with a total of 16 tracks. The ‘Waka Waka’ singer has collaborated with several big stars like Cardi B, Ozuna, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera. Her latest album is also inspired from her relationship with ex Gerard Pique.
